summer camp June 27-30, 2024!

an optional casual camping experience can be added, 26-27th

Registration opens Thursday, February 8th, 2024 @ 9am PST

Join us for this 4 day, 3 night camp (with an optional additional night/day) set in the picturesque Mt. Hood National Forest, set on the banks of the salmon river! This family-oriented camp experience is open to all Ethiopians, Ethiopian -Americans, and Ethiopian adoptive families and friends, to share a taste of the traditions from the Horn of Africa and come together to celebrate families in all shapes and sizes.

Our mission is simple:

To help nurture within our adoptive children A grounded sense of self by connecting communities, celebrating family through adoption, and encouraging and exploring Ethiopian culture and heritage with other adoptive kids and Ethiopian Americans.

(C.O.F.F.E.E., an acronym for Central Oregon Friends and Families of Ethiopian Ethnicity, was founded by a Bend family who adopted twin boys from Ethiopia back in 2008.  We are a growing, eclectic group of families striving to raise strong, proud Ethiopian children, and we hope this camp brings a rich experience to ALL participants, forges new friendships, and creates lasting memories!  We hope you can join us!)

Proudly partnering with Adoption Mosaic, a Portland-based non-profit that “provides a platform for compassionate, informed education, training and resources to the adoption constellation/community.” www.adoptionmosaic.com

Family is not defined by our genes... it is built and maintained through love.
